Job Description
Amadeus University invites applications for the position of Higher Library Officer. The successful candidate will provide higher-level library support services within the University Library system, leveraging professional experience and knowledge to assist in library operations and user services.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the management and development of library collections including cataloguing, classification, and accessioning of materials
- Provide reference and information services to students and academic staff
- Supervise and guide junior library staff in daily operations
- Manage circulation services including loans, returns, renewals, and overdues
- Assist in maintaining and updating the library's electronic catalogue and databases
- Support the organisation of library orientation and user education programmes
- Ensure the proper shelving and physical organisation of library materials
- Assist in the preparation of library reports and statistics as required
Job Requirement
- An Honours Bachelor's degree in Library and Information Science (LIS) from a recognised university
- A minimum of three (3) years of post-qualification work experience in a university library environment
- Computer literacy is mandatory; proficiency in library management systems and standard office applications is required
- NYSC discharge or exemption certificate (or evidence of exclusion)
- Good communication, interpersonal, and supervisory skills
- Library cataloguing and classification
- Reference and information services
- Circulation and stack management
- Library management system proficiency
- Supervision of library support staff
- Microsoft Office Suite
