Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver lectures, seminars, and tutorials at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
  • Initiate, develop, and supervise research projects within the relevant discipline
  • Publish research in reputable, peer-reviewed journals and scholarly outlets
  • Contribute to academic and departmental leadership
  • Supervise postgraduate (Master's and PhD) students
  • Participate in curriculum development and quality assurance activities
  • Serve on departmental, faculty, and institutional committees
  • Attract research grants and foster research collaborations
  • Mentor junior academic staff and doctoral researchers

Job Requirement

  • A doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in the relevant field from a recognised university is mandatory
  • A minimum of nine (9) years of post-qualification experience in teaching and research in a university
  • A good and verifiable record of scholarly publications in reputable, peer-reviewed journals
  • Demonstrated evidence of capacity to initiate, develop, and supervise research
  • Demonstrated capacity for academic leadership
  • Registration with the relevant professional body or bodies in the discipline is required
