Job Description
Amadeus University seeks a technically proficient System Programmer / Analyst II to support the development, maintenance, and optimisation of the University's software systems and applications. The successful candidate will contribute to programming, systems analysis, and the provision of IT solutions that enhance institutional operations.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, debug, and maintain software applications and systems used across the University
- Analyse existing systems and workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements
- Write clean, well-documented code in relevant programming languages
- Assist in the design and implementation of new software solutions and system upgrades
- Provide technical support to end users on software-related issues
- Collaborate with the ICT team to integrate software solutions with University infrastructure
- Maintain accurate technical documentation for all developed or modified systems
- Support computer hardware troubleshooting where required, drawing on knowledge of computer hardware components and configurations
Job Requirement
- An Honours Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline from a recognised university
- Relevant experience in software development, systems programming, or systems analysis is required
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C/C++, PHP, or similar)
- Working knowledge of computer hardware is required
- NYSC discharge or exemption certificate (or evidence of exclusion)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Software development and programming (Python, Java, C/C++, PHP, or equivalent)
- Systems analysis and design
- Application testing and debugging
- Computer hardware knowledge
- Technical documentation
- Problem-solving and logical thinking
